Presentation

The South Brazil Microelectronics School (EMicro) and the South Brazil Microelectronics Symposium (SIM) are regional events realized by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and by the Brazilian Microelectronics Society (SBMicro). The event is a forum for the regional microelectronics Community and brings national and international speakers together to promote the area. EMicro and SIM are directed towards pre-university, undergrad, and grad students, as well as professors, in the Fields of Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics and Computation Engineering.

The 37th South Brazil Microelectronics Symposium (SIM 2022) and the 24th South Brazil Microelectronics School (EMicro 2022) will be held in hybrid format at Unisinos University Campus in São Leopoldo, from May 2 to May 6, 2022. The Program reflects topics of interest in the areas of circuits and systems and offers a forum for technical discussion. The event offers a variety of special talks and lectures by prominent specialists in the key microelectronics field. Research Groups and Technical Schools are invited to take part.

Objectives

Promote the diffusion of knowledge in the design of electronics and computational systems implemented in integrated circuits. To enable students and professionals in computing and engineering to have contact with cutting-edge topics in microelectronics research. Connect the microelectronics community. To provide a forum for discussion on the training of human resources in microelectronics, which is necessary for the development of the electronic goods and services industry in the country. Provide a discussion forum and/or public policy proposals for the development of microelectronics in the South region and in Brazil.
